Deadline extension: OTIP Sponsorship of School Projects and Initiatives Program submissions due April 30, 2020

At OTIP we know that within the education community there are many member-led school projects or initiatives that support learning, provide an enriched experience or make a difference to those in need. 

Through the OTIP Sponsorship of School Projects and Initiatives Program, members can submit a video application with the chance of winning $5,000 towards their project. With schools across Ontario closed the decision has been made to extend the submission deadline, with applications now being accepted until April 30, 2020. 

In past years we have received an incredible number of submissions that have been both creative and inspiring and we are looking forward to seeing the exciting and impactful initiatives that are occurring in education communities across Ontario. 

This year there are six prizes of $5,000 available to be won, as well as six honourable mentions of $1,000 each. Any member of the education community in the Ontario Public, Catholic or French system can apply for funding for their project and projects or initiatives must be shown to positively impact the lives of students or educators. We understand that not all worthy causes are connected to charitable organizations, so projects and initiatives do not have to be linked to a registered charity. 

After the submission deadline, videos will be judged based on creativity, originality and overall project idea. Winners will be announced at the end of May and the winning videos will be posted on our website.
