Your story: I was involved in a car accident

Having to make a car insurance claim is a position that we never want to see our members in. If you ever find yourself in a car accident, you can rest assured that our OTIP team will be on your side throughout the whole car insurance claim process. This is Jackie’s story:

“I was involved in a car accident on December 30, 2013 and, while not physically injured, was most distressed at the event.  As it turned out, the person who caused the accident accepted all responsibilities.

As this was my first, and hopefully my last, automobile accident, I was unsure how my insurance company would address the matter…This apprehension proved to be completely unjustified as [the representative] was the epitome of care and concern towards me. At no time did I feel that you were not in my corner and supportive of me throughout this ordeal.

Your compassion and consideration made a bad situation tolerable. Your attention to this matter continued with your follow up which I feel was exemplary – you returned my calls in a timely manner and contacted me more than once to ‘see how things were going’…A simple thank you seems so little for the treatment we received but know that it is heartfelt; the car has been returned to its original state and we are most grateful.”
